After nearly a decade of telling uplifting local stories, of introducing taste buds to fresh cuisine and of shining a spotlight on the people and places that together make this community so special, the Acorn Newspapers is closing this chapter of its lifestyle magazine, Beyond the Acorn.
Beyond the Acorn launched in 2013 under publisher Lisa Rule. With a mission to celebrate “the spirit of local living,” the magazine traveled ‘beyond’ the day-to-day coverage of the newspapers and explored the heart of this region: Its people.
We’d like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the writers, editors, photographers and designers who made Beyond the Acorn possible.
And to all those who have followed along these past 10 years and who have allowed us to share their stories, thank you. We are sincerely grateful for your support.
The magazine’s full archive 2013 thru September 2022 will remain available.
